Whew. For this one, I was driven to the MacKenzie-Childs apartment on Madison Avenue. It was a frantic weekend--we had a Mother's Day ad due in two days. I spent the first day grabbing flowers, cup covers, tiles, handpainted plates--anything whimsical I could find (and there was lots of it)--and scanning them. Then it was time to assemble all the bits and pieces into a whole that portrayed the company. This isn't my usual style, but my job was to make sure the company's style took precedence. I got a call two days after the ad appeared--a woman from New York wanted to know if I'd do the flowers for her daughter's Bat Mitzvah! |
